Recipe Wild Blackberry Syrup


Whether you choose to pour this over your Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream or as a topping for your Pancakes, this is sure to be a sweet taste of summer - well into the chilly fall and winter months!

Wild Blackbery Syrup Recipe:

2 cups blackberry juice
1 3/4 cup sugar
4 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup ice water

Heat the reserved liquid from your Wild Blackberry Jam (about 2 cups), in a saucepan over medium heat.

Stir in sugar, heat through. (Let it heat long enough to thoroughly mix in all the sugar, but don't let it boil)

In a bowl or measuring cup, mix 1/2 cup ice water with 4 Tbsp cornstarch until smooth, slowly add to juice/sugar mixture.

Slowly stir until it starts to thicken, remove from heat.

When cool, pour into jar or plastic container.
