A definite staple in the Broumley family diet, this rice goes perfect with pinto beans or refried beans - and it is SO simple to make!
Spanish-style Rice
In Rice Cooker:
Fill with water to the "2" line.
Add:
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Chili Powder
1 cube Vegetable Bouillon
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
1 shake dried red pepper flakes
1/3 cup diced tomatoes (canned is fine)
1/3 cup fresh cilantro (or 1 Tbsp dried cilantro)
2 measuring cups long or medium grain white rice (use the cup that came with the cooker)
Push the button. ;-)
Stove-top:
Fill pan with 2 1/2 cups water

Add:
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Chili Powder
1 cube Vegetable Bouillon
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
1 shake dried red pepper flakes
1/3 cup diced tomatoes (canned is fine)
1/3 cup fresh cilantro (or 1 Tbsp dried cilantro)
2 cups long or medium grain white rice
Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
